Pink Ribbons der TU Wien am Minoritenplatz

Zum Auftakt des Brustkrebsmonats Oktober hat das Institut für Fertigungstechnik der TU Wien in Kooperation mit dem Bundesministerium für Frauen, Wissenschaft und Forschung zwei rund zwei Meter hohe Pink Ribbons aus Aluminiumverbundblech konstruiert und am Minoritenplatz installiert.

Die weithin sichtbaren Symbole sollen ein starkes Zeichen für Bewusstsein, Vorsorge und Solidarität mit Betroffenen setzen. Vizerektorin Ute Koch betonte die gesellschaftliche Verantwortung der TU Wien, während Bundesministerin Eva-Maria Holzleitner die Bedeutung von Früherkennung und Forschung hervorhob.

Mit der technischen Umsetzung verbindet das Team des Instituts Präzision mit gesellschaftlicher Relevanz und trägt so zu einer seit über 20 Jahren bestehenden, wichtigen Kampagne bei.
