New design for ORCID records

Check out the re-designed, accessible new user interface for the ORCID record.

ORCID Logo

The Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) is an alphanumeric identifier for you as a researcher. It identifies you uniquely and makes it easier for you to connect with different activities in the research process. More than 12 million academics around the world are already using ORCID.

The public page, the one you land on when you are visiting an ORCID record, has been given a new look. At the same time, the performance and accessibility of the page have been improved. A functionality has been added to enable you  re-sort the elements within the sections Employment, Education, Works etc. according to your own preferences. That can be useful, for instance if you want to export a publication list from your ORCID record. The private page that you see upon logging in, and that you can fill with content, will also be modernized soon with the same theme. More details on the new release can be found in this ORCID blog post, opens an external URL in a new window. Or you can explore all the new features for yourself, opens an external URL in a new window.

Have you already connected your ORCID iD with TISS, and thus to various TU Wien information systems? On our web page on ORCID iD, you can learn how to do this in a few steps.

Do you want to learn more about making the most of your ORCID record? Then register for the free online workshop “ORCID and your digital identity as a researcher, opens an external URL in a new window“ (in English) that will be held on 09 November 2021.
