GREEN LIBRARY: TU Wien Bibliothek cycles

The library team successfully participated in the campaign “Wien radelt 2022”.

In our mission statement, TU Wien Bibliothek commits to becoming a green library. Working towards this goal, we set priorities in the areas of mobility, energy and equipment in 2022. Making their working days more dynamic as well as more susatainable, 8 librarians participated in the campaign "Wien radelt" (Vienna cycles).

From 20 March to 30 September, the library team covered a total of 6460.30 kilometres by bike or on foot, saving 1139.60 kg of CO₂ that would have been expended on the same distance in car journeys. Our library team achieved health benefits as well as contributing to environmental protection.
