To support accessible communication in the workplace, the Diversity Management Service Unit is providing funding for Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS) interpreting services in a professional context until the end of 2027.

This offer is aimed at deaf and hard-of-hearing staff and can be used for work-related events such as meetings, training sessions, workshops, committee meetings and similar formats. The aim is to make participation in relevant work-related processes as accessible as possible.

The measure is designed as a temporary, transitional solution and is intended to bridge the current funding gap until a long-term solution is put in place.

The persons or organisational units making the request are responsible for arranging the interpreting services themselves. Costs may be covered subject to prior agreement and in accordance with specified terms and conditions.
