In the Applied Quantum Physics research area, we are concerned with the implementation of platforms that enable a strong interaction between light and matter. We then use these in particular in the field of quantum optics and sensors.

The earlier Research Group Applied Quantum Physics, lead by Professor Arno Rauschenbeutel, now conducts its research at the Humboldt University in Berlin.
