Open Positions
We regularly offer openings for PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and research assistants in the areas of robotics and artificial intelligence. Our research focuses on robot learning from observation, cognitive robot control, and autonomous skill acquisition. Detailed information about current openings and application procedures will be announced here.
Currently, we have 3 openings for PhD candidates and/or Postdoctoral researchers at TU Wien. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team, who will contribute to cutting-edge research in the following topic areas.
- Topic 1: Embodiment-Agnostic Humanoid Loco-Manipulation Policy Learning
- Topic 2: Context-aware Interaction Skill Learning for Physical Human-Robot Interaction
- Topic 3: Bridging Generative AI and Control-Theoretic Safety in Robotics
Topic 4: Visuo-tactile Control Policy for Dexterous Human-like Manipulation

Requirements
- MS/Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline (robotics, electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science)
- Academic achievement in robotics, machine learning, and/or control
- Experience with robot experiments, programming, and team projects
Proficiency in writing and speaking English

Positions The positions are up to full-time funded and follow the regulatory union salary system, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
