Construction Site Excursion 2026

Excursion

From September 1st to September 10th, the 2026 Construction Field Trip will take place in Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein.

The wait was worth it! After a break of almost 12 years, the infamous construction site excursion BaBeEx is back.

Program (subject to change):
01.09.: Start in Vienna at Karlsplatz; construction site main line Munich (tunnel construction)
02.09.: Visit to the company Bauer AG
03.09.: Construction site A81 (infrastructure)
04.09.: Tour of Klett Areal (project development); construction site Stuttgart 21 train station (infrastructure)
05.09.: Factory tour of Herrenknecht (manufacturer of tunnel boring machines)
06.09.: Free day (Europapark)
07.09: Factory tour of Liebherr Nenzing (manufacturer of special civil engineering equipment); factory tour of Hilti (manufacturer of hand-held tools)
08.09.: Haiming power plant construction site (pumped storage power plant)
09.09.: Brenner Base Tunnel construction site (tunnel construction)
10.09.: Tour of Zentrum am Berg (University of Leoben); return trip to Vienna

Disclaimer:
Students who do not enjoy freedom of travel within the EU must arrange any necessary visas, etc. themselves.
