What do I need to bring?

Please be sure to bring your TUcard or official photo ID.

Who is eligible to vote?

All non-academic staff and apprentices aged 16 and over who are employed at TU Wien as of October 23, 2025, are eligible to vote.

How can I apply for my absentee ballot ("Wahlkarte")?

If you are not at the university on November 19 and 20, 2025, you can still vote.

To do so, please apply for an absentee ballot by emailing guenter.bernhard.steininger@tuwien.ac.at by November 11, 2025. You will receive the absentee ballot by registered mail at your home address.

How do I vote with the absentee ballot?

You can return the absentee ballot by mail or send it internally at TU Wien via the internal mail system. The recipient will cover the postage fee.

In order for your vote to be valid, the absentee ballot must be received by the TU Wien post office at Karlsplatz 13, 1040 Vienna, or at the polling station by 5 pm on November 20, 2025.

If you are able to vote at the university, please be sure to take your absentee ballot with you to the polling station at the Goldenes Lamm, opens an external URL in a new window.
