Environmental and Planning Law; Climate Action and its Effects on Planning Processes
Karin Hiltgartner studied law at the University of Vienna. Later she received an interdisciplinary master's degree in Human Rights and Democratisation. She completed her doctorate in 2008 at the University of Vienna and the TU Wien with her thesis on "De-Nationalisation of Immovable Property and the Right to Restitution". She has worked in a law firm, as legal advisor for the Foreign Ministry as well as for the Parliamentary Administration, and was a Visiting Fellow at the European Inter-University Center for Human Rights in Venice, Italy. Since 2004, she has been working at the Research Unit of Law.
