The new Grätzloase Salzergasse including mobility station

A small Grätzloase has recently been built in Salzergasse 44. The remarkable aspect of this oasis is that it was created as part of our cooperative research project Mo.Hub and combines shared mobility with a new recreational quality.

The goal is to reduce the number of parking spaces in public spaces through shared mobility services and to use the freed-up space in a diverse way. In several Viennese districts, mobility offers that can be used by everyone are coupled with nice places to sit and stay and bundled in the form of mobility stations - the so-called "Mo.Hubs".

Such a Mo.Hub - consisting of mobility offers and a new oasis in the neighbourhood - has now been constructed in Lichtental in cooperation with the Lichtental Agenda Group. Further Mo.Hubs will follow in the 7th district and aspernSeestadt.

The cooperative project is a collaboration between the TU Wien, the mobility company "MO.Point", "Urban Innovation Vienna" and the planning offices "stadtland" and "di*mann". The project is funded within the framework of the FFG programme "Mobility of the Future" by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK).
