Profile

Dr Magdalena Muszynska-Spielauer is a demographer and economist specialising in quantitative methods. Her research focuses on methodological issues of population health and mortality. She is particularly interested in the question of how stochasticity and heterogeneity shape the different trajectories of an individual's health over the course of a lifetime. Before joining TU Wien, she worked at the Warsaw School of Economics, Duke University and the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, among others.
