Introduction: Agnes Nalunga

[Translate to English:] Agnes Nalunga Bilder Collage

One of the many meaningful outcomes of our APPEAR CPUg | Clean and Prosperous Uganda project is the opportunity to welcome NALUNGA AGNES as a PhD student at our institute.

Agnes has a background in Agricultural Engineering and completed her master’s degree at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. Her PhD research focuses on isolating microbial strains from landfills in Uganda and investigating their potential to degrade plastics. Her work is kindly supported and supervised by Prof. Matthias Steiger (TU Wien, Biochemistry) and Dr. Doris Ribitsch (BOKU, Enzymology).

Through her research experience and expertise, Agnes brings valuable perspectives to our team.

We are very happy to have Agnes on board and look forward to the exchange, collaboration, and mutual learning ahead.
