Associate Professor Florian Toth

The Institute of Mechanics and Mechatronics congratulates Florian Toth on his appointment as Associate Professor in recognition of his outstanding achievements!

Florian Toth studied mechanical engineering at the TU Wien, where he graduated with honors as a graduate engineer in 2010 and also received his Doctor technicae degree with honors in 2014. After research stays abroad (KTH Stockholm, University of Strathclyde) and postdoctoral work at the TU Wieny, he took up a career position as assistant professor at the Institute of Mechanics and Mechatronics at the TU Wien in 2021, which he has now successfully completed.

As an associate professor, he currently heads the research unit “Measurement and Actuator Technology” and conducts research on modeling and simulation methods for coupled multiphysical systems, particularly in the areas of vibroacoustics, electromagnetic-thermal-mechanical coupling, and finite element methods.
