After thorough preparation for the conference, students enrolled in the course “Gaining Knowledge Through Conference Attendance,” taught by our guest lecturer Manfred Schrenk, visited the CORP at the Otto Wagner Areal in Vienna from March 22 to 25, 2026.

There, the students attended lectures and workshops on topics such as artificial intelligence, affordable housing, urban and digital transformation, spatial justice, data-driven planning, governance, new urban economies, post-disaster planning, and much more. They also had the opportunity to network with experienced planners from around the world.

Over the course of the semester, the students will continue to discuss and process the many insights gained from the conference as part of the course.
