The Research Unit of Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering at TU Wien (TUW) will participate as a speaker in the OPTI-UP project's upcoming public webinar. Our team will present our research contributions on land use transport interaction (LUTI) modelling and sustainable urban public transport development, demonstrating how evidence-based approaches can support small and medium-sized cities in developing more efficient and sustainable public transport systems.

Small and medium-sized cities across Central Europe face similar challenges when planning public transport: limited resources, fragmented data, and growing sustainability demands. To address these challenges, the OPTI-UP project invites you to a public webinar presenting its newly developed Comprehensive Strategy for Sustainable and Efficient Public Transport Networks in Central Europe.

The webinar will introduce a practical, step-by-step methodology designed to support cities in planning, improving and monitoring public transport systems through evidence-based decision-making, modelling, and stakeholder engagement.
