The Career Day at HTL 1 Bau und Design Linz is a popular annual event where entrepreneurs from the construction industry compete for tomorrow’s talent, whilst educational institutions also make their way to the outskirts of Linz each year to the HTL’s school grounds, which are always quite crowded on this day.
The Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) had a particularly strong presence this year, as both the Student Advisory Service and the civil engineering department, as well as the TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education, were in attendance.
The continuing education programme offered by the TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education provides an exciting option, particularly for those students who wish to enter the workforce after completing their HTL qualification and study part-time alongside their career.
The university course in “Imobilienwirtschaft & Liegenschaftsmanagement” offers the opportunity to study real estate economics part-time over four semesters and, if desired, to add a Bachelor’s Upgrade Programme to achieve a BSc (CE) degree in a total of six semesters.
An option that represents an interesting alternative to full-time study for many.
