CSTAT proudly celebrates the sub auspiciis promotions of Roman Parzer and Lukas Neubauer

CSTAT team celebrating the sub auspiciis promotion of Lukas and Roman

A special academic milestone was recently celebrated within the CSTAT team: Roman Parzer and Lukas Neubauer were awarded their doctoral degrees sub auspiciis Praesidentis rei publicae — one of the highest academic distinctions in Austria, granted to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance throughout their entire educational career, from school to university.

Roman and Lukas have shared much of their academic journey: they began studying together already in the bachelor’s programme and continued side by side as colleagues and researchers at CSTAT through to the completion of their doctoral studies. Their promotion marks not only an important personal milestone, but also the continuation of a long-standing academic companionship shaped by shared learning, research, and exchange.

The entire team extends its heartfelt congratulations and celebrates this remarkable accomplishment, wishing both of them continued success in their future academic and professional paths.

Roman and Lukas would like to express their sincere gratitude to their supervisors Peter Filzmoser and Laura Vana-Gür for their guidance, support, and encouragement throughout the doctoral journey. Their mentorship and dedication were invaluable in shaping the research and successful completion of the dissertations.
