On 5 October 2026, the Public Space Transformation Day will take place at the Cobenzl in Vienna – an event organised as part of the flagship project Trans|formator:in, which is entirely dedicated to the redesign of public mobility spaces. From 12.30 pm, representatives from politics, public administration and academia will come together to discuss specific transformation projects.
The programme will focus on four key areas: best-practice examples from projects already implemented; key findings and tools from the Trans|formator:in project; direct dialogue between practitioners and the public sector; and inspiration for anyone wishing to undertake their own initiatives.
The venue is the Cobenzl, accessible by public transport from Heiligenstadt station (15 minutes), Hütteldorf station (35 minutes) and Vienna Central Station (40 minutes). Attendance is free of charge, but places are limited to 150 people – registration is open until 11 September.
