We are excited to host the first-ever joint workshop between our Computational Statistics group and the Star formation and ISM group of Prof. Joao Alves, opens an external URL in a new window from the University Vienna, on May 26, 2026. During this one-day workshop, we will focus on furthering interdisciplinary research and finding synergies between the noisy data regime of astronomy and the robust methods developed in our group. A special focus will be placed on supporting early career researchers (Master’s and PhD students). We aim to forge a lasting connection between our two research groups.
