Last week, Pegah Zare presented her research at the RILEM Association Spring Convention 2026 – Conference on Innovative Construction Materials and Processes for Sustainable Buildings and Infrastructure in Ghent, Belgium.

Her contribution titled Influence of Fabric Manufacturing Techniques on the Tensile Capacity of Textile Reinforced Concrete (TRC) investigates how different textile fabrication methods affect the tensile performance of TRC and how reliable these properties can be determined with established characterisation methods. For this purpose, a comprehensive Round Robin Test (inter-laboratory comparison) was conducted with four laboratories across Austria. The work was conducted within the FFG funded research project SuSdeCon that deals with the sustainable design and construction of concrete structures with composite reinforcements.
