As part of the ANTRIEB research project, which is part of the KlimaEntLaster, opens an external URL in a new window initiative, we investigated how businesses in the service sector can manage their day-to-day operations using a cargo bike.

Key questions included how to encourage staff to use the cargo bike, what factors need to be considered in terms of internal organisation and work processes, and the pros and cons of using the cargo bike from the perspective of staff and management. Additionally, we examined how the public sector can strategically promote the use of cargo bikes in businesses. The project concluded at the end of March, and on Monday 23 March, we presented our key findings and opened them up for discussion.

The presentation focused on our final outputs, which will soon be available via klimaentlaster.at/download:

- practical recommendations on the use of e-cargo bikes in businesses (guide and toolbox for businesses and advisory centres);
- policy recommendations for local authorities, cities, regions and the federal government (guide).
