Yesterday, our colleauge Ali Valipoor had the opportunity to present his research at the PFASAN Symposium: “New Developments in Remediation of PFAS.”
His presentation, “Electrochemical oxidation using boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrode as an effective degradation technology for PFAS,” focused on the potential of electrochemical oxidation as an effective approach for PFAS degradation and remediation.
We were also pleased to have Heidi SCHAAR chair the session on electrochemical degradation, bringing together researchers working on innovative approaches to address PFAS contamination.
It was a great opportunity to hear from our PFASAN project partners at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and the Universität Wien, as well as from invited speakers presenting recent developments in PFAS remediation from other research projects.
The PFASAN project aims to develop, test, and evaluate different in-situ and on-site remediation technologies for PFAS-contaminated sites in Austria and is funded by the Austrian KPC programme "Forschung Altlastensanierung".
A big thank you to all the speakers, partners, and participants for the insightful discussions and exchange of knowledge!
