The completely revised and significantly expanded 2nd edition, 2026 of the reference book “(No) Claims for Additional Costs in Construction Contracts” by Univ.-Prof. (ret.) Andreas Kropik has been published.

The book addresses claims for additional and reduced costs not only when they are asserted, but also from the very beginning - covering the tendering process, contract drafting, scope of work, construction specifications, scheduling, and project management. Other key areas of focus include performance disruptions, productivity losses, consequences of construction delays, price changes, construction site overhead costs and the transparent derivation and verification of claims for additional costs.

The new edition comprises approximately 1,520 pages and combines legal, construction industry, and construction management fundamentals with numerous examples, calculation models and guidance for practical application. Additionally, Excel templates for selected examples and AI-supported search functionality are available within the book.
