In response to the rapidly increasing demand for secure and weather-protected bicycle parking spaces, a pilot project was implemented at the Getreidemarkt campus. In close collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, a modern double-decker bike rack facility was installed, which serves as a pilot project for the further expansion of cycling infrastructure at TU Wien.

The new facility replaces 13 bike racks (26 spaces) and, with 104 spaces, offers four times the capacity. Thanks to the covered structure and its central location right by the BA building, cyclists benefit from maximum convenience and a high level of safety – a visible symbol of the commitment to promoting sustainable mobility at TU Wien.
