In the new waste sorting facility at TU Wien (TU Wien Circular Economy Lab), a wide variety of waste materials can be sorted and processed before being tested for recyclability. Various pieces of equipment are available for this purpose, including jaw crushers, hammer mills, ball mills, jar mills, two-shaft shredders, ballistic separators, sorting tables and conveyor belts.
The facility was established in collaboration with the Department of Buildings and Technology at TU Wien (GUT), the Faculty of Technical Chemistry and the Rectorate of TU Wien. By investing in the TU Wien Circular Economy Lab, TU Wien is making an important contribution to the research and development of future circular economy systems in Austria.
