However, it is not only the current course portfolio that is new: registration and administration of continuing education activities will also be handled through the ines learning platform in the future.
The internal continuing education catalogue for TU Wien employees will therefore no longer be offered through TISS as in the past. Instead, ines, which is already used for TU Wien’s standard training courses, will become the central platform for internal continuing education.
The new solution enables administration, registration, the delivery of both in-person and online training sessions, as well as follow-up activities to be managed within a single system. This consolidates and simplifies processes, fully supporting TU Wien’s strategic goal of designing services and workflows that are both efficient and user-oriented.
The new learning platform was developed through close collaboration among TU Wien staff. Colleagues from the service units Software Development, IT Porftolio and Design, the Digital Teaching and Learning unit and Human Resources Development combined their technical, pedagogical, and organizational expertise to create the foundation for the transition.
From September onward, TU Wien employees will be able to choose from more than 150 continuing education opportunities and register directly via ines, opens an external URL in a new window.
