Climate-just spatial planning in Moedling

Four student projects on climate change adaptation in the small town of Mödling were presented on site.

On June 19, 2026, the final presentation for the elective bachelor’s module “Climate-Just Spatial Planning”—offered every two years in collaboration with the Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning Research Division—took place.

Under the guidance of an interdisciplinary team of instructors, the students developed four projects:

Mödling Zammbringen. Climate Change Adaptation in the “Schöffelstadt”
Green Network. Climate Change Adaptation in Schöffelstadt
BachOase. Renaturation and Enhancing the Quality of the Mödlingbach Stream
Mödling on Cool Paths. Climate Change Adaptation Along the Main Street

This time, the planning area was the small town of Mödling in Lower Austria.

The elective module took place in cooperation with the municipality of Mödling and the Thermenlinie model region.
