From Monday to Wednesday, our colleagues Oliver Cencic and Helmut Rechberger attended the International Society for Industrial Ecology - ISIE conference in Cambridge. Beyond the scientific programme, they were struck by the city's venerable architecture and centuries-long academic tradition. Helmut even took the opportunity to visit Ludwig Wittgenstein's grave, a fitting detour given Cambridge's philosophical heritage (pictured bellow)  In the left image you see Oliver and Helmut with Sabrina Linsmaier (University of Augsburg), Sofie Férauge (KU Leuven), and Sarah Schmidt (University of Kassel) on the Fellows’ Lawn at Fitzwilliam College. Moments like these are a good reminder of why conferences matter: not just the talks and papers, but the exchange, the walks, and the shared curiosity that come with them. now this one
