In TV and Radio News: How a Rock binds CO₂

The greenhouse gas CO₂ is the main cause for the looming climate catastrophe. Giada Franceschi explains in the News of Austria's public broadcaster ORF how CO₂ can bind to mineral surfaces.

On TV and Radio: How a rock binds CO₂

Using high-resolution atomic force microscopy and density functional theory simulations, the Surface Physics Group could show how CO₂ binds at a surface of the mineral wollastonite. These results and possible prospects for CO₂ sequestration were presented in the Austrian News (in German):
