Studying alongside work at TU Wien Academy

Many graduates of a technical college (HTL) are faced with the question of whether to start working immediately after graduation or to continue their studies. What many do not know is that this decision does not have to be an "either/or" choice. With its part-time continuing education programs, the TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education offers the opportunity to combine professional experience and academic qualifications in a meaningful way.

Getting started in the real estate industry

In the field of real estate management, the four-semester part-time university course in University Course Real Estate Management provides an entry point into careers as a real estate agent, property developer, or property manager. Classes are held every two weeks on average, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the late afternoon and evening. Small group sizes of no more than 30 participants and a high degree of practical relevance ensure intensive and directly applicable learning outcomes.

A unique selling point is the opportunity to complete a bachelor's upgrade program after the university course, thereby earning a Bachelor of Science (Continuing Education) degree in real estate management while working part-time.

The career fair offered students a wide range of information: in addition to large construction companies and the public sector, numerous educational providers also presented themselves. Internships, entry-level jobs, and further education opportunities were equally in focus.

At the TU Wien Academy stand, many students took the opportunity to seek personal advice and ask individual questions about course content, admission requirements, and balancing work and study. The direct exchange made it possible to highlight specific prospects for entering the real estate industry and to realistically assess different educational paths.

The next round of the university course in Real Estate Management, and therefore also the first step toward a bachelor's degree, begins in October.
