In December, the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer at TU Wien hosted Prof. Marco Rosti from the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) for a three-week academic visit.
During his stay, Prof. Rosti presented a series of lectures on advanced topics in fluid mechanics, focusing on canopy flows, turbulence in non-Newtonian fluids, and the effects of suspended particles on turbulent flows. These lectures attracted strong interest from researchers and students and addressed topics of high relevance to both fundamental research and engineering applications.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity for scientific exchange and strengthened international collaboration between TU Wien and OIST. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer thank Prof. Rosti for his valuable contributions and engaging lectures.
