The Institute of Applied Physics at TU Wien has officially inaugurated its new 3DNANO laboratories — a dedicated 150 m² research facility designed to advance cutting-edge work in 3D nanomagnetism and spintronics.

The laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art fabrication and characterization infrastructure, providing an excellent environment for innovative experiments and long-term research development. The new facility significantly strengthens the institute’s capacity to explore emerging concepts and technologies in nanoscale magnetism and spin-based electronics.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Rector Peter Ertl, Dean of Physics Prof. Pimenov, and Markus Valtiner, Director of the Institute of Applied Physics, along with numerous colleagues from the Faculty of Physics and other departments. The visit featured a guided laboratory tour and research presentations by members of the 3DNANO team, highlighting current projects and future research directions.

We sincerely appreciate the strong interest, engaging discussions, and enthusiastic support expressed during the inauguration. Special thanks go to TU Wien for providing outstanding infrastructure and continued institutional support.

The 3DNANO laboratories are now fully operational. We look forward to advancing research at the forefront of 3D nanomagnetism and spintronics.
