Located in northern part of South Burgenland, on the border with Styria, HTL Pinkafeld is one of the region’s most important educational institutions. Its students come not only from the Oberwart district, but also from Styria, Lower Austria and Hungary.

In addition to specialisations in electrical engineering and computer science, building services engineering and construction engineering are particularly significant fields of study.  This enables the unexpectedly large number of relevant employers in the region to recruit new skilled workers. The annual careers days provide school pupils with the ideal opportunity to make initial contacts and secure work placements.  

Many graduates are drawn to either Vienna or Graz to continue their studies, as both cities are roughly the same distance away. 

For those wishing to start their careers whilst studying real estate management alongside their work, TU Wien offers a part-time university course in Real Estate Management, providing the opportunity to obtain a professionally qualifying qualification in four semesters or, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (BSc (CE)) after a total of six semesters.
