Tim White on the housing crisis in Ö1 radio Europa Journal

In mid-December, Tim White appeared as an expert on the topic of the “housing crisis” in Europa Journal on Austrian radion Ö1. White is currently an Early Career Fellow at King's College London and was until recently a Visiting Fellow at SRF. In conversation with Miriam Beller (Ö1), he talks about the privatisation and commodification of housing, also referring to the work of Justin Kadi (University of Cambridge), Selim Banabak (SRF, TU Wien), and Leonhard Plank (IFIP, TU Wien). Their article “Institutional investment in rental housing in the city of social housing” was published in January 2025 and highlights the role of institutional investors in Vienna's housing market.
