dataTUdiscovery presented in the Faculty Council of Informatics

We have begun presenting the new dataTUdiscovery Service Center to the faculty councils at TU Wien, starting with the Faculty of Informatics.

Esther Heid and Kristof Meixner began presenting the dataTUdiscovery initiative to the faculty councils of TU Wien with a presentation to the Faculty Council of Informatics. In the presentation, we introduced the fuTUreFIT project: a cross-faculty AI/ML service center to support researchers in using AI/ML in their scientific work.

In the presentation, we outlined the motivation behind the project and the planned services, such as consulting, prototyping, and reusable AI/ML workflows. We also presented opportunities for collaboration between researchers from the Faculty of Informatics and their students and the service center. We outlined how computer scientists can contribute their expertise and benefit from the service center.

In the subsequent Q&A session, Dean Gerti Kappel emphasized how important such an initiative is for the international competitiveness of TU Wien.
