From May 18 to 22, 2026, a group of students from UBT Pristina spent time at TU Wien, together with spatial planning students from TU Wien and the course instructors Thomas Dillinger, Nina Svanda, and Skender Kosumi.
Together, the group worked on proposals for sustainable tourism development in the Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park in western Kosovo. In addition, they took an excursion to Seestadt and the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park via the Mariazellerbahn. The nature park, in particular, serves as a best-practice example within the course for a tourism area with good public transportation access that focuses on both winter and summer tourism against the backdrop of the climate crisis.
The students are currently working in small groups to develop their proposals in the form of reports, plans, and posters.
