aspern.mobil LAB launches study on mobility for seniors in aspern Seestadt

The way in which seniors use and experience urban space differs from that of younger population groups. As people grow older, their routines, travel patterns and requirements for infrastructure and public spaces change. Aspects such as safety, accessibility, clarity and short distances become increasingly important. The study aims to contribute to a better understanding of the mobility behavior of older people and to identify specific areas for improvement, enabling them to continue getting around their neighbourhood independently and actively.

The launch of the study has already received media coverage, with reports in the Bezirksblatt newspaper and on Radio Wien, among others. We are now looking for senior citizens from Seestadt to participate in interviews about their everyday journeys, experiences, and possible barriers in the neighbourhood.
