Paul Romatschke has been appointed as Professor of High Energy Physics in September 2025. He leads his research group at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at TU Wien. Prior his appointment in Vienna, he held a Full Professorship at the University of Colorado Boulder, advancing through the academic ranks from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor and then to Full Professor. He previously worked as a Fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies and held research positions at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA and at Bielefeld University in Germany. He completed his PhD with distinction at TU Wien in 2003.
