Thomas Angeli represented our team at this year’s Ärztetage Grado Congress in Grado, Italy. As part of the session "Musculoskeletal Training", participants attended the lectures "Muscle Training" and "Bone Training", where they gained insights into the biomechanical properties of muscles, training concepts ranging from athletes to patients with osteoarthritis, the systemic benefits of exercise, and the effects of both appropriate and inappropriate mechanical loading, as well as targeted training, on bone health. Furthermore, they gained insight into the interdependencies of muscle strength and learned about the mechanisms of electrical stimulation and vibration training. Knowledge was shared regarding multifactorial influences on bone remodeling, possible diagnostic procedures, and effective methods for building bone mass - for example for the prevention of osteoporosis.

For many years, the Ärztetage Grado have provided a platform for interdisciplinary exchange between medicine, research, and clinical practice. We are delighted by the scientific exchange and professional dialogue with colleagues from various disciplines that was made possible through this renowned continuing education event.
