On April 21, 2026, the World Creativity and Innovation Day is celebrated worldwide, as it is every year. The day was recognized by the United Nations as an international observance highlighting the importance of creativity and innovation for sustainable development. It serves as a reminder that new ideas and unconventional approaches are key drivers in addressing societal challenges.

cycleFIT is also taking this opportunity to showcase creative approaches to mobility at TU Wien. As part of the event, cycleFIT invites participants to join a group bike ride:

For the bike tour, please bring a bicycle whether your own or a rented one. It is also possible to attend only the evening program.

3:30 PM Meeting point: Arrival at Karlsplatz 13 (Courtyard 1, access via Resselgasse)

At 4:00 PM, the ride starts at Karlsplatz and continues along Argentinierstraße to the Science Center. From 4:30 PM, participants will gain insights into research and infrastructure, including a guided tour of the large-scale laboratories at the Science Center.

At 5:30 PM, the group will ride back together to TU Wien. From 6:00 PM, the day will wind down at the cycleFIT stations in Courtyard 1 (or in the Prechtlsaal in case of bad weather). A highlight of the evening will be the performance by the Science Busters at 7:00 PM, before the event concludes around 8:00 PM.
