Leadership Talk: Strategy and leadership in stormy times

After decades of positive economic and peaceful development, we have now arrived in the VUCA world - made up of Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity - that has been talked about for a long time. For many companies, the future will become more unpredictable due to war, recession, energy and climate crises.

Dr. Herbert Demel

In these stormy times, executives with management & leadership expertise are becoming increasingly important, precisely because no one can predict what is coming. At the same time, many leaders are asking themselves what skills they need and what strategies make sense to survive the various challenges.

In its Leadership Talks, the TU Wien Academy, as a driver of research, technology and management topics, therefore regularly talks to top-class guests about current developments, the latest approaches to solutions and gives concrete recommendations for action.

In the latest edition with Dr. Herbert Demel - one of the most successful Austrian managers and former CEO of Audi, Volkswagen do Brasil, FIAT, etc. - we discuss what the current turn of the times means for companies and their managers. Dr. Demel will especially refer to his experiences in the entrepreneurial field of the automotive industry and will give exciting examples of what managers have to consider when leading teams today and which strategic options you have to face the different challenges.

We are looking forward to your attendance and a stimulating discussion under the moderation of Dr. Astrid Kleinhans-Rollé (TU Wien)!
