Scholarships

Together with cooperation and media partners, scholarships for various programs are awarded at regular intervals. In addition, we occasionally sponsor study places for outstanding applicants. Information on scholarships for the various programs can be found here during the respective call for applications:

For the start of our MBA programs in October 2021, we offer aspiring young leaders with a strong profile and high motivation a one-third scholarship for Young Professionals:

  • Application by August 31, 2021: by email to mba@tuwien.ac.at (subject: Diversity in Leadership Scholarship).
  • Admission requirements: First academic degree; at least 3 years of professional experience.

    Please cover the following questions in your letter of motivation: 
    • For which specific MBA program are you applying?
    • How will you benefit from the MBA program personally and what impact do you expect for your career? 
    • What do you expect from the MBA program in general? 
    • What can you contribute to the MBA program? 
  • Transcripts and diplomas of academic degrees already obtained as well as your university entrance qualification (copy)
  • Passport copy
  • Digital passport photo (jpg, png or svg format)
  • Proof of financial need for the scholarship:
    • Written explanation of the financial need for the scholarship
    • Proof of income
    • Financing plan

Award criteria:

  • High motivation to participate in the MBA
  • Fulfillment of the admission requirements
  • Proof of financial need for the scholarship (private payers are preferred)
     

The deductible is the regular participation fee of the respective MBA program reduced by 33% (equivalent to EUR 15,343 / EUR 16,348 / EUR 18.358; plus travel and accommodation expenses and costs for optional field trips and study tours). There is no right of appeal; the winner will be informed in the course of the admission procedure. All application documents will be treated strictly confidential.

To support a high level of diversity at management levels we provide special scholarships. With our Diversity in Leadership scholarship we particularly support women in their professional careers and further education.
