Scholarships

TU Wien and Energiepark Bruck/Leitha support individuals and their careers in the renewable energy sector.

To support people affected from the war in Ukraine our partner Enery Development, opens an external URL in a new window, an internationally operations-led renewable power infrastructure company, offers one full scholarships for the MSc Renewable Energy Systems.
The scholarship includes full coverage of the tuition fee (EUR 19,500). Travelling costs, accommodation and board are not included.

Eligibility Criteria

  • First academic degree (see admission requirements >> )
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience
  • Prove of Refugee-Status due to the Ukraine war by “Blaue Karte der Republik Österreich “(„Blue Card“ issued by Republic of Austria)*
  • Ukraine Citizenship (passport copy)

Application

Ukrainian citizens who hold a residence permit granted by the Blue Card (Blaue Karte/blue card issued by the Republic of Austria) and fulfil the admission requirements are kindly asked to send a complete scholarship application consisting of an online application and complete application documents exclusively by e-mail to newenergy@tuwien.ac.at by July 31, 2022 at the latest. (Please add Email subject: Application for Ukraine Scholarship #supportforrefugees  )

Your complete scholarship application consists of:  

  • Online application (submit your online application here)
  • Certificates of previous degrees
  • Passport copy
  • Copy of “blue card” (Blaue Karte der Republik Österreich)
  • CV and statement of purpose answering the following questions:
    • 1. What makes you interested in the program and what are your expectations?
    • 2. What can you contribute to the program?
    • 3. How do you plan to fit the schedule of the blocked lectures into your professional and private life?
    • 4. How do you manage the financing of the travel and accommodation costs (these are not included in the scholarship and amount to approximately EUR 1,500 for the whole program)?
    • 5. How did you find out about the MSc Renewable Energy Systems?

The scholarships will be awarded by a jury. The documents submitted are treated as confidential. After reviewing the application document, applicants will be informed about further steps. The decision about the award of the scholarship will be made after a personal interview in front of a jury.
