Our Dean of the TU Wien Academy, Prof. Wolfgang Güttel, invites you to a ski touring week in March 2026!

After enjoying a wonderful week in South Tyrol in March 2025, we will be returning to the Matschertal next year, more specifically to the Glieshof.

When: March 01-07, 2026

Cost: Accommodation plus approx. EUR 400
Requirements: Good physical condition and confident off-piste skiing

As always, we will be accompanied by our very experienced mountain and ski guide, with whom I have been traveling with the USI for many years. With his experience and calm manner, he ensures great tours and a relaxed week every year.

What can you expect?

• Daily ski tours with approx. 1,000-1,200 meters of elevation gain
• Tours between 1,800 and over 3,000 mters

Possible destinations (depending on conditions):

• Portlesspitze (3,307 m)
• Seablspitze (3,123 m)
• Kälberberg (3,125 m)
• Upiglscharte (3,100 m)
• Mitterspitze (3,185 m)

Ski touring equipment can be rented in South Tyrol or in Vienna.
