An exclusive look into the future of space travel: A visit to GATE Space

Experience space technology up close: GATE Space opens its doors exclusively for our community, offering rare access to a state-of-the-art development and production facility for chemical satellite propulsion systems—an opportunity that is seldom available in this form.

The Austria-based New Space company develops advanced propulsion technologies that enable precise maneuvering of satellites in orbit—a key capability for the next generation of space infrastructure. These systems allow for accurate positioning, collision avoidance, orbital adjustments, and sustainable de-orbiting, addressing some of the most pressing challenges in an increasingly congested space environment.

As a spin-off of TU Wien, GATE Space exemplifies the successful transfer of cutting-edge research into real-world space applications, with first deployments in live satellite missions and a clear trajectory toward international scale.

A special highlight: Moritz Novak, Co-Founder of GATE Space and lecturer in the MBA Space Architecture program, will share first-hand insights into the company’s journey, current technological challenges, and the future of the space industry.

During the exclusive tour of the 560 m² facility, participants will gain a comprehensive view of the entire value chain—from development and manufacturing to high-precision measurement, specialized cleaning processes, and cleanroom assembly.

This event offers not only privileged access to a typically restricted high-tech environment, but also a unique opportunity to witness innovation in the New Space sector firsthand—where the technologies enabling the future of mobility in orbit are being built.
