We are excited to announce that Gabriel Unsinn has recently joined the CD lab as our latest PhD researcher. With a strong foundation in wood mechanics, Gabriel embarks on a pivotal journey with us, focusing on the experimental identification of mechanical properties of our biocomposite across various length scales.

In our continuous pursuit of innovation, he will delve into the complexities of wood-based biocomposites, fibers, and the interaction at the fiber/additives interface. This research is not just about exploring the unknown; it’s about laying the groundwork for predictive models that aim to forecast the mechanical behavior of our new materials. Understanding these properties is key to advancing our capabilities in developing sustainable and efficient materials for future applications.

The Christian Doppler Laboratory for Next-Generation Wood-Based Biocomposite is committed to pushing the boundaries of material science, and the addition of Gabriel to our team strengthens our resolve. We are confident that his contributions will lead to significant advancements in our project and help pave the way for new discoveries in the field of sustainable materials.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Gabriel to the CD lab. We look forward to the innovative solutions and contributions that he will bring to our research endeavors.
