We warmly welcome in our team Divya Pabbathi, a visiting PhD researcher from the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE).
Her research in India, under the supervision of Prof. Seshagiri Rao Ambati, primarily focuses on optimizing aeration strategies in wastewater treatment and investigating strategies for N₂O mitigation.
During her six-month research stay at TU Wien, financially supported by the IIPE through its Sandwich PhD Programme, she will be working together with Vanessa Parravicini on N₂O emission measuring and modelling and on sidestream deammonification using moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) technology at a full-scale wastewater treatment plant.
