The two-year MSc Program embraces a wide range of topics and is divided into two distinct segments. The focus of the technical and scientific segment lies on the quality management and monitoring of air, water and waste, the management of resources and energy, as well as climate change.

After a general introduction to international relations, the international studies segment deals with the major political, economic and legal issues concerning the environment and sustainable development.

Duration

The MSc is presented in modules and requires two academic years. In the first Academic year of the Program participants attend the international studies segment at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. In the second year participants take courses at the TU Wien.

Modules

The curriculum consists of modules in the areas of environmental management and technology as well as international studies with legal, economic and political issues.

Master's Thesis

The Master's Thesis is a practice oriented study that should enhance the participant's skills in the field of the subject according to scientific criteria.

Optional language courses in German and French at different levels of competence. Language training comprises specialised terminology (politics, economics, law, etc) and offers a specific preparation for international language diplomas such Österreichisches Sprachdiplom-Deutsch als Fremdsprache (ÖSD-DAF), Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF), Diplôme d’Etudes de Langue Française (D.E.L.F.).
